LINCOLN, Neb. -- Federal disaster assistance is being made available to eight additional Nebraska counties that suffered damages during the severe storms, flooding and tornadoes June 1 through August 29, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) announced today.

WASHINGTON - With Hurricane Earl moving up the East Coast and expected to arrive in New England by tonight, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is urging New England residents to stay informed about any developments with the storm and to listen to directions of state and local officials, including any calls for evacuations.
