2011 Chemical Sector Security Summit

The Office of Infrastructure Protection (IP), as the Chemical Sector-Specific Agency and the Chemical Sector Coordinating Council, are co-sponsoring the 2011 Chemical Sector Security Summit in Baltimore, Maryland on July 6-7, 2011. The fifth annual Summit will provide a forum for representatives from the chemical community to exchange information and network with other security professionals, to share best practices, to find out about chemical security regulations, and to gain insight into the roles of state, local, and federal agencies and departments involved in chemical security.
Interest in the 2010 Summit was unprecedented drawing record attendance. Secretary Napolitano provided the keynote address highlighting the need for a coordinated effort between the public and private sectors in combating chemical security threats. Assistant Secretary for Infrastructure Protection, Todd M. Keil provided remarks focusing on IP's regional approach and voluntary programs that enhance chemical facility security.
There is no registration fee associated with this year’s event.
