DOD Identifies Army Casualty             The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.              1st Lt. Daren M. Hidalgo, 24, of Waukesha, Wis., died Feb. 20 in Kandahar province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when insurgents attacked his unit using an improvised explosive device.  He was assigned to 3rd Squadron, 2nd Stryker Cavalry Regiment, Vilseck, Germany.              For more information media may contact U.S. Army Europe public affairs at 011-49 6221-57-5816 or email, ocpa.pi@eur.army.mil.
