The National Weather Service In Buffalo Has Issued A Lakeshore Flood Warning...Which Is In Effect Until Midnight EST Tonight. * Locations...Erie And Chautauqua County Lakeshores. * Lake Shore Flooding...At 730 PM The Level On Lake Erie Was 6.7 Feet Above Low Water Datum And Rising Rapidly. The Level Is Expected To Continue To Rise And Top Out Near The Flood Stage Of 8 Feet Above Low Water Datum By Mid Evening Before Levels Begin To Drop By Around Midnight. * Timing...Through Midnight Tonight. * Impacts...Rapid Water Rises And High Wave Action Will Produce Minor Flooding Near The Mouth Of Creeks And In Harbors. Waves Will Likely Produce Spray And Minor Flooding Of Route 5 In Hamburg.
